Maria Inmaculada Artiles




Maria Inmaculada (Inma) Artiles was born and raised in the Canary Islands, Spain, and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fl during her senior year of High School. She achieved her A.S. in Nursing in 2011 and worked full-time as a bed-side nurse while raising her family. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2021 from St. John’s River State College in Jacksonville, Fl where she graduated as Summa Cum Laude. During her nursing career she has excelled in the areas of med-surg, step-down ICU, acute dialysis (ICU), surgical services, pain and spine outpatient services, outpatient surgery (multiple specialties), vascular services, and orthopedics, and has been recognized by her peers and patients for her dedication to patient care.

In 2021 she continued to pursue higher education and attended the University of North Florida, where she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree while working full-time in vascular, orthopedics, and Spine surgical services. During her career she has been a patient advocate and a leader, as well as a mentor to many new graduates and seasoned nurses. She enjoys establishing connections with her patients and creating a space for open communication that enhances quality of care.

During her clinical rotations as a Nurse Practitioner, she has gained experience in the areas of Family practice, Urgent Care, Women’s health, and Pain and Spine. Throughout her career she has achieved valuable skills to aid in her transition into Neurology, her chosen field of practice. She hopes to bring her passionate commitment to patient advocacy, research, and holistic approach to care to all her patients at Neurology One.

Outside of her career environment, Inma feels empowered by her connection to her three children and enjoys spending time with family. She also likes outdoor activities, traveling, sporting events, and simply watching a good movie, soccer match, or Formula One race from home. She hopes to be very involved in the community and continue to raise awareness of social and healthcare issues through education dissemination and events participation.
